Breezy Acres Arabians is a small farm located in Fulshear, Texas(45 minutes West of Houston). Breezy Acres Arabians sits atop a hill that spreads into a meadow overlooking the Brazos Valley. We always seem to have a pleasant breeze that flows from the countryside, hence our name.
Breezy Acres Arabians is owned and operated by Kinton and Julie Lawler. We both have a number of years experience owning and working with horses, totaling 50+ years! I, particularly, have enjoyed the last 30+ years owning and working with the Arabian horse.
Our aim is to breed the finest Black and Homozygous Black Arabians that bloodlines will allow and we believe we are, indeed, accomplishing that. We only produce one to two foals a year, but their bloodlines, type, trot, and temperament are unmatched anywhere in the Black Arabian Breeding World. In addition to producing foals, we also offer Transported Semen and On-Farm A.I. for the discriminating mare owner that is seeking an exquisite foal of their own.
Since our focus is breeding Quality Black Arabians, we put a great deal of time, forethought and experience into selecting our stock. Our handful of Black Arabians are some of the most splendid to be found, world-round. Our endeavor started with Homozygous Black Faheem Al Maas(Blacklord Falkhan by Blacklord Arabi X Blacklady Shafana by Blacklord Arabi).
We are very excited about this stallion. His dam, Blacklady Shafana is one of the most stunning Homozygous Black mares and we are beginning to see how his Homozygous Black sire, Blacklord Falkhan, greatly impacted the breed (via his get), even though his life was cut short in an accident at six years old. Blacklord Falkhan was posthumously awarded 2002 Leading Juvenile Sire, a feat not many stallions achieve!
Faheem is the only stallion alive of his breeding. He is doubled back (grandsire top & bottom) to the famous Blacklord Arabi, the All-time World’s Leading Sire of Blacks. Blacklord Arabi is the only Black Arabian to qualify as a "World Leading Sire" every year he was at public stud (1985-1993)!
While Arabi is Straight Egyptian-*Turfa/Blue-List/Al Khamsa, Faheem is that wonderful cross of Egyptian & Crabbet/Babson (60%/40% respectively). His lines go back to *Adhem, Negem, *Ansata Ibn Halima, *Fadl, *Maaroufa …to name just a few.
Blacklord Arabi’s prepotency is very evident when one observes Faheem. One way to describe Faheem is to say that he possesses the terrific and telling “T”s. He has Type, Trot, and level-headed Temperament, in a Tall Homozygous Black body. Faheem sports 26 Xs to Black in the first five generations! He has not a fleck of white on him ...thus making him the rare solid, non-fading, "blue-black" that he is. Additionally, he is a Sweepstakes Nominated Sire and is SCID clear.
We are also excited about our two Black Arabian Broodmares. We offer Homozygous Black foals for sale out of these broodmares. It is suggested that you inquire early, as these foals often sell early each year, sometimes before they are born (an 'in-utero' sale is an option). Though each mare offers Type and Trot to pass on with a wonderful Temperament, it becomes a task to describe them separately, as they both possess the traits of a true Quality Arabian mare.
Basks Ebony Angel is one of our mares and she is just what her name implies. Her sire, Bask Knight (now deceased), was by the immortal *Bask++ and her Dam is by “Shah of Gizeh”. Our second mare is Straight Egyptian-*Turfa and named RB Serr Lela. Her sire, TC Moniets Legacy is by the incomparable, The Minstril and her dam, Serr Mara (xABD Othello), is a granddaughter of *Adhem, the most noted Black Imported Straight Egyptian of all time.
